From discovering new favorites to finding the perfect quiet spot to read, our library is full of adventure, imagination, and maybe a few overdue books. And, don't forget to check out the bulletin boards!
Our librarian has shared a few jokes with us:
1. Why did the library book feel so confident? It had a spine.
2. Why did the librarian slip on the floor? She was in the non-friction section!
3. Why did the ghost keep coming back to the library? He went through his books too quickly!

Quarter 4 = sunshine outside… and midterms inside 😅📚
Nothing says “middle school energy” like reviewing notes one minute and asking ,“Wait, this is on the test?!” the next.
To our students: you’ve made it this far — keep pushing, stay focused, and don’t forget to breathe (and maybe sleep 😄).
Midterms are being sent home today—thank you, parents, for taking the time to review and sign them. Your support makes a big difference! 🙌
Let’s finish strong, everyone! 💪✨ #Quarter4 #MidtermMadness #MiddleSchoolLife

Here are our winners of the art contest at our Family STEAM Night ! 🏆

We are excited to invite you to participate in RSMS STEAM Night: Exploring Careers of the Future on Thursday, April 9th from 5:00-6:30! This event will showcase student creativity, STEM skills, and future career opportunities in a fun and interactive evening for our students and families.
Here’s what’s happening at STEAM Night:
Student Art Contest: Celebrate creativity and STEAM connections—staff are invited to judge entries and help display artwork.
RSMS Staff Art Contest: Bring your artwork to display during the event
Career & Business Booths: Local businesses will share real-world applications of STEM skills to inspire students about future opportunities.
Hands-On Activities: Students can explore interactive experiments, challenges, and demonstrations.
Dinner & Community Fun: Families can enjoy a meal together while learning about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Somehow, Mrs. Willaims has mastered the art of helping students find exactly the right book—even when the request is, “I don’t like reading, but I want something good… and not boring… and not too long… and maybe about sports… or dragons.” And boom—book in hand. She has seen it all: upside-down books and bookmarks that are actually Cheetos wrappers.
But more than anything, Mrs. Williams creates a space where kids feel comfortable, curious, and maybe even excited about reading (a true superpower in middle school).
So here’s to our librarian—keeper of books, finder of lost pages, champion of readers, awesome bulletin board creator, and quiet hero of our school. We appreciate you more than you know! Happy School Librarian Day!📖

Mrs. Messman had boxes (and boxes!) of rock samples from the Clarkia Fossil Beds right here in Idaho (so cool!). Her students had an absolute blast scraping and brushing rocks to find fossils!
The beautiful striations in the rocks were muted by the squeal of excitement when students found a fossil. Nothing beats hands-on learning and the thrill of finding something millions of years old .
We dig learning!
Pencils are sharpened ✏️
Chromebooks are charged 💻
Snacks are strategically planned like it’s a survival mission 🍿
The school is approximately 97% quieter… which feels suspicious.
And, our students are ready to show what they know !
Remember:
✨ Do your best
✨ Take your time
✨ Read carefully
✨ And yes… you can survive without talking for a few hours
Science ISAT for our 8th Graders begins tomorrow, Tuesday.
ELA ISAT April 14-17
Math ISAT April 21-23

Our spring family night is on April 9 from 5:00-6:30. Come and join the fun!

Move over cafeteria trays… our amazing lunch ladies just dropped a RAMEN BAR and it is EVERYTHING. 🙌
We’re talking steamy noodles, savory broth, and all the toppings your heart (and stomach) could dream of. Basically, the cafeteria turned into a 5-star noodle shop overnight. 💁♀️✨
Students are lining up like it’s the hottest restaurant in town—and honestly, they’re not wrong.
Huge shoutout to our cafeteria crew for always bringing the creativity (and the flavor)! 💛 You’ve officially made today one of the best lunch days ever.

Another one of our incredible math teachers, Ms. Stewart, has been named Teacher of the Month by the Twin Falls Education Foundation! 🏆
Between solving for x, multiplying student confidence, and dividing up their time to help everyone succeed, they somehow make it all add up to something pretty amazing. 📐✨
We’re not even going to try to calculate how much they’re appreciated… but trust us, it’s exponential. 📈
Congratulations Ms. Stewart!

Thanks to our Gear Up Coordinator, all RSMS 7th graders will be touring CSI on Wednesday, April 1! More info to come after spring break!

Thank you parents and students for coming to the first of two conference nights this week. Please remember conferences include registration for fall classes. Conferences continue tomorrow night and during the day on Thursday.
