Mark your calendar for December 2!

We've got dramatic actors, enthusiastic actors, and actors who are being bribed with snacks to participate! We've got props held together with hot glue and hope, and an ongoing mystery of whether lines are memorized, kind of memorized, or, "I'll read it off of the back wall and hope nobody notices" memorized.

Nonetheless, the students are working hard to put on a great show for us. We really are proud of our 7th Graders who have the courage to perform on stage. Come check it out! And, whatever happens on the stage...well, we're all going to be talking about it at school the next day!

Some of our PE students took part in a modified CHAD 1000x challenge on Veterans' Day. The 8th Graders completed a minimum of 500 step-ups. After school, PE teacher extraordinaire, Mrs. Kauffman, took the challenge to the max and completed 1000 step-ups using a 12-inch box and a weighted vest. (Are your thighs hurting just from reading this?!)

Another amazing and memorable 6th Grade Girls' Night Out happened at RSMS recently! Our girls rotated through several sessions including nutrition, online safety, journal making, Zumba, meditation & mindfulness, bracelet making, and bucket hats. We wrapped up the evening with a midnight game in the gym and a sleepover. A huge thank you to a few community members (including our SRO) for helping, as well as staff members. PE students aren’t just running the mile…they’re carrying a "pumpkin: (medicine ball) like it’s the world’s weirdest cardio challenge. Gavin and Slade won today with a time of 7:17! Partners shared carrying the "pumpkin" on their run!😅

Students whispered that the cafeteria fridge creaked open by itself this morning… and the lunch ladies SWEAR they saw a chicken nugget move. Just a little... like it was trying to escape. 👀

But don’t worry! Today’s Halloween lunch is 100% safe! Check out the amazing lunch created by our lunch crew!

How do our teachers feel about no school the day after Halloween this year? Zero candy-hangover zombies in the hallways, no ring pops for breakfast, and no post-Halloween snoozing in class? It's a true Halloween miracle!

RSMS Book Drive begins November 1. We are collecting new or gently used books to add to classroom libraries. Books can be dropped off at the office. Thank you for your donation.
